I've been reading some great books lately and one of them has been The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman.I really enjoyed reading this book and primarily its about how to make sure your spouse knows how much you love him/her.And you should know what he/she desire and how you need to speak your spouse's love language so that your spouse knows and can see your love.Everyone talks about how the "in love" experience fades after you're married.I don't think that has to be the case.I believe this book can help us keep that "in love" experience much longer.I've listed The Five Love Languages below. The book goes into much greater detail on each language.
1.Words of Affirmation -- Your love tank is full when your spouse is showing appreciation to you, thanking you for the things you do,sharing words of encouragement, using words that build up(Thank you,I'm so proud of you,You look nice in that suit).
2.Quality Time -- You desire spending time with your spouse, probably not watching TV or multitasking but true quality time where you've conversation with one another and nothing is distracting you, giving your undivided attention.
3.Receiving Gifts -- You like receiving gifts from your spouse. These gifts don't always have to be expensive, they can be your favorite candy bar,a simple card which he/she took time to pick out specifically for you.
4.Acts of Service -- Your love tank is full when your spouse shows an act of service just to show his/her care and concern towards you.
5.Physical Touch -- This is,in fact,self-explanatory-you desire to be touched by your spouse. This could be holding hands, reaching out to you as he/she passes by,or randomly kissing your cheek and the like.
I suggest this book to anyone in a serious relationship, engaged or married. It really can bring out some things that you may not otherwise know about your spouse and what makes him tick. You could possibly be speaking your language but not the language of your spouse. Things you may be doing, could be meaningless to your spouse. If they desire Acts of Service and all you are doing is giving them gifts to show your love, you are not speaking the correct love language. Although, giving gifts may be your love language, it's unlikely that that is also your spouse's love language. Read the book and take the test to find your love language, you may be surprised but it could help or strengthen your relationship.

We still have hope as we still have real life heroes among us
This man Douglas Murphy is not someone extraordinary but what he did was extraordinary which reminds us of our duties towards the community we live in and of which we claim to be a part. But many of the times we fail to perform these duties which are associated with the membership.Murphy saved the life of an 88-year-old woman who fell on a subway track, risking his own life and the train missed him just by 6 seconds or so.
So,i think there are a lot more good human beings out there. They just need to be appreciated and recognised so as to foster the spirit of humanity just as Ellen did by calling the humanity hero to her show.
P.S. By the way Murphy has been prized with a holiday gift coupon of Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort at Bahamas and he says he would take his fiance with him for the holiday.

A Marriage Which Actually Never Took Place...

Hiii...today I've come across such a tormenting story which I'm not able to articulate in words(though I'm really good at this). It is a saddening yet inspiring story of two love birds who nurtured their romance in the corridors of IIT Kharagpur but as unfortunate they were, they couldn't consummate their love story as the guy got killed in the Mumbai 26/11 terror attacks. But the girl stayed resolute to her commitment to the guy and upheld the meaning of true love.SHE,in fact devised and organised the whole wedding affair and has also designed a website depicting and cherishing the moments of their love and descripting the marriage which actually never took place...
You can meet them at their official webpage at: http://www.mywedding.com/khushboomalayesh/index.html

Could you?//

"Could you let down your hair
And be transparent for a while
Just a little while
See if you're human at all
Honesty is a hard attribute to find
When we all want to seem like we've got it all figured out
I may be the first to say that I don't have a clue
I don't have all the answers
And god I pretend like I do just
Trying to find my way
Trying to find my way the best that I know how"
